Small Business Saturday

This weekend is really, really important for retailers big and especially small.  The lead-up to Black Friday has everybody ready to spend.  

This year we have chosen to offer Free Canada-Wide Shipping on every purchase made on November 25th, 2022.  Remember to enter FRIDAYFREESHIP at checkout.  This is a big deal as free shipping is not really free.

Whether it costs $29 to get your Nightshirt to the interior of BC or $14 to get your Pajama Set to downtown Montreal, we pay for this and it comes directly out of our bottom line.  While we certainly want to point out the complications of free shipping, please know that we are not complaining.  This Friday is a great opportunity for us to treat all of our wonderful patrons from coast to coast!  

Small Business Saturday follows this great day of sales and folks like us are offering special deals as a Thank-You.  We've handpicked some items that will be 30% OFF all weekend, starting Saturday through the end of Cyber Monday.  The discount will be automatically applied at checkout.  (Be sure to sign-up for our newsletter so you can be the first to know about any other upcoming promos!)

Please remember that while big business wants to push their sales over the million mark this weekend, the small businesses in our communities are just trying to get that little push that makes them profitable.  All of us are painstakingly with love handcrafting products, and keeping our little shops afloat.  NOW is the time to support these places.

This Small Business Saturday, find a local business in your community that makes butter tarts, slow roasts coffee, hand-felts Christmas ornaments, or even crafts beautiful pajamas (wink wink). 

When you're buying from a small business, you're often buying from a family.  From a single mom who makes scrunchies at her kitchen table.  That twenty, forty, or fifty-dollar sale is often a big deal to a small company.  We put a lot of effort, energy, and love into our products.  When you buy from a small business you also start a relationship.  

We're at One of a Kind this weekend surrounded by artisans, makers, and small businesses from all around the country.  Our website is open, but we're here at booth K19.  If you're in the GTA and at the show, please stop by and say hello. We'd love to meet you!  Depending on what time of day, I will be the tall guy in the plaid flannel shirt with a smile on my face.  Or maybe a frown.  But say hello anyways.  It's tough running a small business.
