We are a Canadian Company that designs and produces quality apparel in a small workshop in beautiful Northern Ontario, Canada. We love what we do and have been doing it for a long time, since 1992 to be exact!

We are currently accepting applications for the following positions:

1. PART-TIME PRODUCTION SEWER TRAINEE

Responsibilities Include:
Learning to press and sew garments on industrial sewing machines and sergers. We will show you how!
Working towards meeting daily and weekly production goals.
Maintaining the highest of quality standards.

Qualifications:
Cover letter and résumé/CV required.
Some experience with sewing a variety of fabrics, mainly cottons but including linens and wools, sometimes silk.
Ability to sit and sew for extended periods of time.
Particular attention to detail.
Must be a good listener and willing to learn, equipped with a great attitude.
Ability to work well with a dynamic team.

Other Things You Should Know:
This is a part time position. Our typical work week is Monday through Friday from 10AM-5PM.

We sometimes work weekends.
Part time production sewer trainees typically work short 4 hour shifts, usually 2 to 3 days per week.
Our workspace/sewing studio is currently located in the back of our clothing store. It’s busy, full of energy and open concept. We have fun, we laugh, but we work hard. Often with time constraints. 
We strive to create an excellent, inclusive work environment.

Part-time: 8-16 hrs/week.

 

2. PART-TIME PRODUCTION SEWER

Responsibilities Include:
Sewing garments on industrial sewing machines.
Pressing and sewing with additional industrial equipment such as sergers.
Meeting daily and weekly production goals.
Maintaining the highest of quality standards.

Qualifications:
Cover letter and résumé/CV required.
Experience with sewing a variety of fabrics, mainly cottons but including linens and wools, sometimes silk.
Ability to sit and sew for extended periods of time.
Particular attention to detail.
Ability to work well with a dynamic team.

Other Things You Should Know:
This is a part time position. Our typical work week is Monday through Friday from 10AM-5PM.

Part-time: 4-20hrs/week.

 

3. FULL-TIME PRODUCTION SEWER

Responsibilities Include:
Sewing garments on industrial sewing machines.
Pressing and sewing with additional industrial equipment such as sergers.
Meeting daily and weekly production goals.
Maintaining the highest of quality standards.

Qualifications:
Cover letter and résumé/CV required.
Extensive experience with sewing a variety of fabrics, mainly cottons but including linens and wools, sometimes silk.

Some experience with production methods a plus but not necessary|
Ability to sit and sew for extended periods of time.
Ability to multitask as well as to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods of time.
Particular attention to detail.
Ability to work well with a dynamic team.

Other Things You Should Know:
This is a full time position. Our typical work week is Monday through Friday from 10AM-5PM.
Full time production sewers typically work 7 hour shifts, usually 4 to 5 days per week.
Our workspace/sewing studio is currently located in the back of our clothing store. It’s busy, full of energy and open concept. We have fun, we laugh, but we work hard. Often with time constraints.

Part-time: 18-35 hrs/week.

 

4. DESIGN / SEWING INTERN

Responsibilities Include:
Beginner level Pattern making and sample sewing - we will teach you some!
Small batch production sewing and pressing.
You will learn how to operate industrial as well as domestic sewing machines, sergers and irons.
Learning how to work towards meeting daily and weekly production goals.
Learning and Maintaining the highest of quality control.

Qualifications:
Cover letter and résumé/CV required.
A love of textiles, sewing construction and design not required but certainly a big plus!
Ability to stand and pattern draft for extended periods of time.
Ability to sit and sew for extended periods of time.
A detail oriented individual.
Simple accounting skills.
Must be a good listener, patient and possess a willingness to learn.
Candidate must be equipped with a great attitude.
Excellent Customer service both in person and on the phone.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a dynamic team.

Other Things You Should Know:
This is a part / full time position with flexible work hours during regular work days and/ or on Saturdays
Our typical work week is Monday through Friday from 10AM-5PM.

We sometimes work weekends.
Design / sewing interns typically work shorter 5-6 hour shifts, usually 3 to 5 days per week.
Our workspace/sewing studio is currently located in the back of our clothing store. It’s busy, full of energy and open concept. We have fun, we laugh, but we work hard. Often with time constraints.
